Sodom was an important city on Earth in the distant past of Demon Lord Dante. It was an incredibly advanced, peaceful society. It was a utopia, and Go Nagai hates utopias, so it was soon invaded by an alien entity calling itself God. God, a psychic being of pure energy, tries to force the Sodomites to submit to his will and surrender their bodies to him. When they refuse, he tortures them so hard they turn into Demons, so I guess that backfired. He proceeds to flush away the city with a big flood, like an enormous toilet filled with demons.
