Gakuen Taikutsu Otoko (ガクエン退屈男)

Also known as Guerrilla High, Gakuen Taikutsu Otoko is a manga written by Go Nagai sometime in the late 1960s. Nagai was prompted to leave the manga unfinished when Ken Ishikawa, his co-producer and assistant, left Dynamic Productions in 1970 (via Go Nagai's wikipedia page).

Synopsis

Led by Saotome Mondo and Tatsuma Mido, students fight against adults and their teachers to bring down the tyrannical education system.

Vol 1

So in the 60s and 70s, students rebel and do violence as Go Nagai was big on that. The teachers toughen up and get armed (Teachers with guns to fight dangerous out of control students?! Man he really nailed the future!) and are allowed to cap students. But Mondo Saotome (like Mondo from Mon Colle Knights? Man, after Saban got sold to Soviet Disney things got f'd!) is going around slagging guys at schools (teens shooting up schools? Good f--k man!!). So the net school to be hit beefs up security and hires more bodyguards like Dokuro Juki and Mondo and Tatsuma sneak in claiming to be new students but cause an uprising after being str-p searched and getting in. But the teachers used cameras to see Tatsuma taking out the female teacher and getting her gun and have cameras everywhere. Mondo has razors in his coat to slice through the guys and when he gets to the armory, its a trap and many kids get shredded by teachers gunfire. the naked teacher running away from a lusty midget gives Tatsuma the chance too blow away other teachers but Dokuro uses his special ability to paralyze Tatsuma and catch her. While the teachers are checking out teen girls Mondo escapes and slags principal and the teachers get a new guy, Dantetsu Edomon who beats up Tatsuma for icing his friend and has him whipped to lure out Mondo. Mondo is in a cell in disguise and takes out a teacher and bends the iron bars with his bare hands like he's Spider Man or something and the teens and him raid the armory as everyone is watching Tatsuma being whipped (Kinda surprized Go Nagai didn't have the teachers j-rkin off to it). So then there's a big battle with guys slagging each other on both sides and Mondo beats Dokuro's hypnotism by biting his lip and caps him. Tatsuma is saved by the midget who's gay for him and is shocked that Mondo, a guy who kills a lotta guys, is killing a lotta guys, even blowing the school and executing the staff (Good f--k Go Nagai! This is stuff grade schoolers write!!) Dantetsu is dragged around on a motorcycle by Mondo before being put up in the wood thing Mido was when whipped and has a spike through his torso b4 Mondo empties a gun into him. Pretty sure he's dead now. So Tatsuma asks Mondo to stop killing and give this school a chance to rebuild and he reveals hes just freeing schools as an excuse to kill and sh-t (What is he? Anti Fa?) and Mondo is gonna have a duel with Tatsuma but with guns instead of Yugioh cards but bounty hunters attack and Mondo slags em. the kids laugh at how Tatsuma was gonna run and Mondo kicked a55 so Tatsuma wastes them and books it. Mondo returns shocked that Tatsuma is even more f'd than him.

Vol 2

So these guys are driving a vehicle with stuff for the school and talk about hiw minimum wage is 1 million yen as teaching got dangerous (go Nagai predicting the future!!) and this female gang leader is in the road. They drive at her but hti a landmine and the guards get J FK'd and the gang gets the bank vault the van was carrying. Bank President is told by the principal of the school the vault was going to, Toranosuke Midoro has the bank guy send another van with a big f'd looking guy named Jigoku who thinks he's hot and got so f'd he cant recall his own name. They do and when the chick goes in the van, he busts outta the safe thats much smaller than him and takes em down and uses them as hostages to make the rest of the gang surrender and get caught. and the chicks are gonna be tortured until the leader is revealed to be Tsubasa Nishikiori and has super strength and snaps outta her handcuffs and takes over da bank. Toranosuke saw this comming and calls da cops to take em down and epects to take out all the other student groups who come to save Tsubasa, esp Tatsuma and Mondo! Meanwhile, Mondo is training and hears in the newspaper that Tsubasa is trapped in a bank and wants to save her as shes got nice t-ts. Btw, they got a newspaper out with the info out already? How long has it been?! So Mondo gets there and Tsubasa used the trick used in Abashiri Family:OAV 1 where she throws cash from the bank job and escapes as the cops grab it. and mondo busts into the city with his droogs but sees her escape. Jigoku chases her in the car and is bullet proof and tackles the car on its side like he's the freekin hulk! Tsubasa sends her droogs off and faces Jigoku on her own and Toranosuke is there somehow. Jigoku beats her eventually after his face gets f'd worse and Toranosuke tells Jigoku to spare Tsubasa so they can get revenge on Mondo and Tatsuma. Mondo meets up with Tsubasa's gang and its revealed he faced Jigoku before and when he gets there he finds a note challenging Mondo and Tatsuma to a duel. At Toranosuke home, he brings in Tsubasa and dont let his freaks look at her and gets her nude and when she wakes up tells her he saved her and everything in this chapter was his plan. She turns to the right and sees all these freaks with weird powers like its X men or something and Toranosuke tells her not to escape as the whole mansion is full of freaks like them. Later he goes in to torture her but they fight and she rips his bandages and sees his weird a55 face and he takes her to the torture room and hangs her from her arms and after she mouths off about his gross face, he's gonna mutilate hers worse than his! But then Jigoku comes back and they go to face Mondo. At the grassy field like in Ninja Gaiden 1 where the guy had that duel, Mondo reveals he knows Toranosuke and says its Tatsuma who removes his face thing ansd shhows half the face is all f'd.

Vol 3

So Jigoku attacks and Mondo blows him down with a f--kin Bazooka (So that's where Violence Jack got it from) and after enough shows, Jigoku goes to Hell (the final friday). Toranosuke goes back on his word and sends some men freaks(even 1 with a tongue like toad) and Hitokiri the assassin takes on Toranosuke as he was send by the real Tatsuma Mido. Mido is in Toranosuke lair and frees Tsubasa and Hitokiri reveals to Toranosuke that Mido is in his home so Toranosuke races back. The freaks run off from fighting Mondo and Hyoroku and Mondo sends him off to the Toranosuke home. Hitokiri goes to his group and reveals he's part of a plan to have the Mido group be the top gang in Japan by beating Mondos group to beating Toranosuke school before him. Mido trys to escape with Tsubasa but this armless guy uses psychic powers to fight him off (Like Raoh using his Ki to hit Rei without making physical contact) as he knows its not Toranosuke. Mido holds him off as Tsubasa escapes and Mondo regroups with his droogs to plan to take out Mido for betraying him. Hyoroku saves Tsubasa and Mido faces off with Toranosuke who reveals they were brothers and Mido iced their rents as Mido thought they didn't love him and loved Toranosuke more so Mido f'd Toranosuke face with acid. The rents came in and revealed Mido is just a clone made outta Toranosuke's cells and this makes Mido go nuts and slag em and torch the house. Mido thought Toranosuke bit it in the fire but wants to take out Toranosuke as without the original, only the copy is real(Da f--k?!). Oh and Toranosuke now rules the dads school and its a big a55 castle fortress maximus. So the Mondo and Tsubasa guys attack and the students of the Toranosuke school defend it as they know the protesters are the bad guys and this school isnt so bad. Hirokiri escapes with his life for now and gets away on a motorcycle as Samurai on Motorcycles are cool. So Toranosuke sets up Mido to be cooked in a fire and tells him the students side with the school and Mondo comes by Toranosukes home and Hitokiri is slagged by Jigoku who I thought bit it but now has both arms back. So Toranosuke faces Tsubaa who caps his arm but he gets away wuth his possibly daemon freaks and 1 who's a man bat who carrys him off. Mondo busts into the burning home and is gonna slag Mido but frees him cuz its more fun. So they lost a bunch of dudes and as they leave, they see Toranosuke's men have en surrounded. Mondo tells em to attack and... it ends. The end. Man, Go Nagai don't really do definitive endings. Wait, Is this where The Soprano's got it?! Although they were Kinda the bad guys so I guess its best they wind up in H E Double Japan!

Characters

Mondo Saotome

"He's simply a murderer who loves violence." - Tatsuma Mido about Saotome.

Saotome Mondo is known to be violent and to act without reasoning. He is portrayed having bushy eyebrows and a scar on his forehead. Saotome is shown to have incredible strength, as he bends the bars of a jail cell containing him and multiple students with ease. He also rides a motorcycle, and travels in a large group with fellow students via motorcycle.

He is feared by all due to his strength and his leadership skills, which typically involve him just ordering students to fight. He is also seen as selfish as Tatsuma tells the bodyguards that Saotome would gladly sacrifice his comrades if it ensures his own victory. Saotome does talk about how even though Tatsuma pisses him off, he knows that they work well together.

Tatsuma Mido

"He called me a beast and a murderer! But he's more of a beast than I am!" - Saotome Mondo about Tatsuma.

Tatsuma Mido is described as a beautiful man, often mistaken for a girl (more so in Violence Jack). Typically, he is shown without a shirt on most of the manga, and just in underwear/a speedo (of sorts). His girlish appearance allows him to disguise as a woman, and even get help from one of the body guards because of his undeniable beauty. He tends to try and think with reason for the safety of Mondo's life, however Mondo doesn't really listen to him.

In the manga, it is revealed that Tatsuma Mido is a clone of his "brother," Toranosuke Midoro, a main villain in the story. Toranosuke's appearance is deformed due to Tatsuma, in a rage of jealousy, pouring acid on his face while he slept. Tatsuma's jealously stemmed from Toranosuke being the favorite of their parents, but when Tatsuma learns he is a clone, he beheaded his parents and burned down their house.

At the point when Saotome faces against Toranosuke, he mistakes Toranosuke for Tatsuma. Toranosuke asks if Saotome wants to mock his ugly face, to which Saotome replies "Ugly? Your face is ugly? You're kidding, right?! Isn't it the most beautiful face in the world? Even the prettiest girls envy you!" This leads Toranosuke to reveal his deformity, and Saotome is left shocked with the impression that this is still Tatsuma (although he learns afterwards).

Tsubasa Nishikiori

Also a student guerrilla leader, Tsubasa is the leader of her own group of students. She's tough enough to break out of handcuffs, but ends up getting herself kidnapped by Toranosuke.

Hyoroku

A homie of Mondo, nicknamed, The monkey(Freeza: He was just... A monkey!!) who aids Mondo and fights with him.

Hitokiri

An assassin in Feudal armor who is sent by Mido to delay Toranosuke so Mido can free Tsubasa. He does his mission and tells Toranosuke about the plan as its part of the pplan for Toranosuke to come home. He goes back to his gang and engages in an attack but is head crushed by Jigoku.

Toranosuke Midoro

Angry at the world due to his deformity caused by Tatsuma, he is one of the villians of Guerrilla High. He works with a large, disfigured man named Jigoku.

A big f--k who got f--ked in an accident and don't recall his own name. He's super strong and bulletproof and can outrun and take down armored cars.

Taikyokuken

A kung fu midget with a long braid who is gay for Tatsuma Mido despite Mido not being a chick, but looking like one.

Dokuro Juki

A Bodyguard hired by a school to fight Mondo Saotome and has a mystic power to paralyze people with hypnoosis.

Dantetsu Edomon

A principal who is a big buff dude and a bada55.
